By accessing or using Fortress Finance (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. Fortress Finance is operated by Fortress Finance Ltd.

2. Description of Service

Fortress Finance is a capital intelligence platform that provides portfolio tracking, market analytics, risk assessment, and AI-powered financial insights. The Service aggregates data from connected financial accounts and market data providers to deliver a unified view of your financial portfolio.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You must provide accurate and complete registration information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• Two-factor authentication (2FA) is mandatory for all accounts
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• You may not share your account or allow others to access it
• You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable regulations
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without authorization
• Transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful data through the platform
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity
• Use the Service to facilitate money laundering, fraud, or market manipulation

All content, features, and functionality of Fortress Finance — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, software, algorithms, and AI models — are the exclusive property of Fortress Finance Ltd. and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit written permission.

7. Subscription & Billing

• Free tier access is provided at our discretion and may be limited or modified
• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Settings page
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of purchase
• We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers

8. API & Exchange Connections

When connecting third-party exchange or brokerage accounts:

• You must use read-only API keys — Fortress never requires trade or withdrawal permissions
• You are responsible for the security of API keys you generate
• We encrypt all API credentials using AES-256-GCM at rest
• We are not responsible for actions taken by third-party exchanges on your accounts
• Exchange data availability depends on third-party API uptime and rate limits

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fortress Finance Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes but is not limited to financial losses from investment decisions made based on data shown in the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or security patches. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from service interruptions.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the Profile settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
